Dries Laas Music Productions creates meaningful connections between music, food, and people—often within just five minutes.

Dries Laas is a highly accomplished, multi-talented musician proficient in a wide range of instruments, including the concertina, accordion, keyboard, melodica, mouth organ, guitar, and more. He holds a BA degree in Music (World Cultures) from UNISA and has been actively performing since the age of 10. Over the years, he has received numerous national and international awards for his musical achievements.

He is currently working on several upcoming projects, including a Gospel album, a Christmas album, and a new Boeremusiek CD, all to be released soon. In addition, Dries is preparing for an international competition in 2026 and invites aspiring young musicians to connect with him to learn more about training and mentorship opportunities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when live performances were limited, Dries adapted by establishing an online music school. This platform now serves students from around the world. Alongside this, he operates a second-hand instrument shop, making music more accessible to beginners who may not be able to afford new instruments.

Dries Laas regularly performs at weddings, gala evenings, restaurants, private functions, and festivals, including KKNK, Innibos, and the Highland Gathering. He has appeared on television platforms such as kykNET, Pasella, Jukebox, and MK Music, and has also performed in an Afrikaans feature film.
